Dip@Dusk Summer Solstice Challenge 2026

Tuesday 9th Jun

Move. Breathe. Connect. Give Back.

On Saturday, 20th June 2026, at 6:00am, a community of people from all walks of life will gather at the colourful shelters on Portmarnock Beach for a powerful challenge in support of Grow Mental Health.

This is more than a fitness event.

It is an opportunity to come together, step outside comfort zones, support mental wellbeing, and raise vital funds for people who may be struggling in silence.

The Dip@Dusk Summer Solstice Challenge combines movement, resilience, connection, and community in one unforgettable morning by the Irish Sea.

The Challenge

Participants will begin the morning with guided breathwork to centre the mind, regulate the nervous system, and prepare for the challenge ahead.

From there, the group will set off on a 5-kilometre run along the beautiful Portmarnock coastline.

Returning to the shelters, the physical challenge continues:

- 100 Burpees
- 300 Press-Ups
- 500 Squats

The event will conclude with a refreshing dip in the Irish Sea, symbolising resilience, courage, renewal, and community.

Participants can complete the challenge at their own pace, with support and encouragement from those around them.

Why We Are Doing This

Mental health challenges affect individuals, families, workplaces, and communities across Ireland.

Grow Mental Health provides free, community-based peer support groups that help people facing mental health difficulties find connection, hope, understanding, and practical support.

Every donation raised through this event will help Grow Mental Health continue its vital work, ensuring that nobody has to face mental health challenges alone.

Why It Matters

This challenge is about much more than physical fitness.

It is about:

- Building resilience through challenge
- Supporting mental wellbeing
- Connecting with an inspiring community
- Raising awareness around mental health
- Creating meaningful conversations
- Helping others access support when they need it most

When people come together with purpose, real change becomes possible.
