Trasna 2026

I'm fundraising for...

On 22nd August, I’ll be taking part in a race called TRASNA—a relay from Galway to Dublin (256km approx.)—in support of Grow Mental Health, a charity that does incredible work supporting people across Ireland.

It’s a 24-hour relay race starting at the Spanish Arch in Galway and finishing on Bull Island in Dublin. The aim is to get across the country within 24 hours… which sounds straightforward until you actually try it 😅. It’s as much a mental challenge as a physical one—running on little sleep, in all conditions, and just trying to keep moving forward.

That challenge is part of what drew me to it, as it loosely reflects some of the struggles Grow helps people navigate every day—uncertainty, fatigue, and the importance of support from others along the way.

I know there are plenty of good causes out there (and plenty of fundraising asks), but if you happen to be in a position to contribute, even the cost of a coffee (€3–€5) would genuinely mean a lot. It all adds up more quickly than you’d think.
