8 Peaks for Grow Mental Health

Sunday 25th Oct
This November, I’m taking on the UK 3 Peaks Challenge in 24 hours, followed by the Irish 4 Peaks Challenge in 24 hours the following weekend. I’ll be finishing off by climbing Croagh Patrick barefoot, all to raise money and awareness for Grow Mental Health, an Irish charity supporting people experiencing mental health difficulties.

November is often associated with men’s mental health, with many people growing moustaches to raise awareness. This year, I wanted to take a different approach by challenging myself physically, encouraging more open conversations about mental health, particularly among men, and giving back to a smaller charity doing great work in Ireland.

As we approach Christmas, the shorter days, darker evenings, financial pressures and everything in between can make this time of year difficult for many people. It’s important to look out for the people in our lives, especially the men who may be less likely to speak openly about how they’re feeling.

Through 8 Peaks for Grow Mental Health, I hope to raise funds, break the stigma surrounding mental health, and remind people that asking for help is a sign of strength.

Grow Mental Health does valuable work supporting people across Ireland, and every donation will go a long way towards supporting their work.

If you’d like to get involved, please consider donating, sharing this fundraiser or joining me for part of the challenge. Every bit of support makes a difference.
