Help me raise funds as I DIP@DUSK for Grow Mental Health
I have chosen to raise funds by taking a dip during the longest days of the year, why? Well, firstly I love the mental health benefits of a cold dip. When I am in the water, any worries or negative feelings melt away. My head is clear and I am connected to the sheer power of nature.
Secondly, I know the power of connecting and having fun with other people. Being with friends and family recharges my mental health battery.
Finally, Grow Mental Health is a charity that provides life-changing support to anyone in Ireland (over 18) dealing with mental health challenges. I know the effects work stress and life in general can have on my mental wellbeing. I am glad that Grow exists and want to make sure they can carry on providing and expand their network of free, inclusive, mental health peer support groups in communities all over Ireland and online.

Monday 23rd Jun Thankyou so much to all my kind friends for your donations. I've surpassed my goal twice. This is definitely a fundraiser I would do again. Dunking in the sea (or river/lake) with your friends and having a laugh and a free wash! 😄
Dipped and Dunked
Friday 20th Jun Happy to have completed my dip at dusk at the lovely Dunmoran strand in County Sligo. A great way to finish what must be our hottest day this year so far. Definitely something to do regularly for my mental well being. If you've never tried it, give it a go. Even a paddle if you're not a cold water fan. I may well "double dunk" and go again on Sunday!
